First Family Photo
Here is our first family picture…….we realize that the cats are not in it, maybe next time.

Jon and Olivia are sleeping right now and I will make a quick post before its feeding time!
We went to the pediatrician yesterday and everything checked out great! We were worried about Olivia’s weight since she had lost 8% of her original birth weight at the hospital and we therefore had to use formula for a couple of feedings…..which makes me sick because it smells awful!!! But turns out that she gained 1 oz from Thursday-Friday thanks to breast milk! I’ve got a lot more of it now. The doc said she didn’t need to come back for another month, and he also filled us in on things that are going to happen soon and that we don’t need to worry.
I currently can pump only. We are having problems latching on correctly because of the size of her mouth and she has done some pretty good damage…..but she does like to nurse!
Here are some pics.
P.s.: I’m in love with her!!!!!
Once again we went to the doc today. The scale finally tipped at 150 lbs. (Jeff, i did not take a pic like you wanted me to, not something i want to remember!), there was no protein in the urine this time!
The doc did an exam again and it turns out that my cervix is thinned out 60% already and I am dilated 1 cm! She said that she didn’t think I would make it til the due date which is November 25th. Jon says the baby will be here November 12th, where he got that number from i don’t know!!!!!
They also hooked me up to a monitor since the babies movement had somewhat decreased, or i’m not paying any attention. The monitoring came back fine! Our next appointment is Thursday and hopefully everything will go well again.
We are also preparing for the baby shower this weekend. We got a lot of RSVP’s and we are excited to see everyone!

We went for another doctors appointment today (i know this is getting old) and had to wait a long time again before we got called back.
The scale says 142 lbs. and the baby’s heartbeat was 130. As the doctor was measuring my belly she said that i was having a contraction right then…..my belly was hard and the shape of it changed. Now, i had no clue those are contractions, they are the painless Braxton Hicks contractions that i get multiple times a day and have had them for weeks maybe even months (maybe I should pay more attention, i just thought the baby was stretching).
I mentioned to her that I have had light menstrual cramps and that about two weeks ago, I had them for about 6 hours but they were not very painful and nothing i could time. So, because of that she went ahead and “felt me up” (haha). She said my cervix was still soft (whatever that means) and she could feel the baby’s head!!!!! Jon asked what the chances are of the baby switching positions and she said most likely the baby will remain in the current position.
Kathy
Friday we went to see the doc for the 7 1/2 month check up (which took an hour and 45 min, what a blast we had!!!!!)
The scale tipped at 140 lb. and the babies heartbeat was 138! Because of the heartbeat the girls at my new job are telling me that we are having a girl……we will see in November!
I asked the doctor about the swine flu and she recommended to get the shot asap and also to get the regular flu shot, so I will have to make arrangements to get that done soon!
I’m also planning the baby shower and sent out the invitations this weekend!
The clock is ticking and I think Jon is getting a little nervous about the delivery and becoming a daddy, he will be a great papa!

We went to see the doc for our 6th month checkup Wednesday. She said that I can now start having contractions anytime, but that they would be over before I can even get worried, but I shouldn’t have more than 5 an hour.
The scale said I was 131 pounds, that’s the most ever for me….and I keep getting bigger because I like to eat all the time!
Everything is going well so far, I have no cravings at all! I just now started gaining water weight, I had problems getting my rings back on so I now wear them on my neck. I also went shoe shopping with my sister Agnes and I couldn’t fit in a
7 1/2, my foot was too wide. My feet hurt all the time, its either from being prego and swollen or the extra weight……I don’t want to know what it feels like to be obese!
The baby is still very active all the time, but it is starting to get uncomfortable in spots! I’m also starting to get uncomfortable laying down and forget about tying my shoes….my face turns red like a tomato!
Next time we go back to the doc they will do the diabetic test and anemic test, hopefully I’m fine!
I have good news and bad news: The good news is that I have Jenny’s wedding video ready to post, the bad news is that I couldn’t shrink the video because the hard drive in the iMac croaked. A replacement 1TB drive is on the way.
The wedding was a lot of fun and I enjoyed it very much. I can definitely say that Jenny’s friends are crazier than Brack’s. On to the video!

Hey guys,
I received my diploma in the mail yesterday, and this time it says that I graduated with honors!!!!!!!!! (it didn’t in the program book)
Small plug for something that may be funny. Will Ferrell did an episode of Man vs. Wild with Bear Grylls. Should be a hoot. It airs June 2nd.
A little teaser.
For those of you who didn’t read the previous post, I picked up a new family car yesterday. We (still) have a 2004 Infiniti G35. The G35 has 299hp, is a 2-door, and does 0-60mph in about 5.6 seconds and tops out at 150mph. The new “family” car is a car that I’ve had my eye on for a very long time. It is one of those cars that you look at when you’re driving around in your $3,000 Porsche 944 while living in Germany… oh, was that just me? No, I know two other guys that did that too.
The Audi is neato. It is an S4 (not an A4). The A4 comes with a 1.8 liter turbo, 2.0 turbo, or 3.0 liter engine, producing from 170-250hp… or somewhere in that neighborhood. The A4 chassis is nice, but still a comfortable ride. The S4 on the other hand comes with a 4.2 liter V8 which produces a whopping 345 horse power, goes from 0-60 in the low 5 second range, tops out at (a goverened) 155mph, but realistically could hit 170mph+ if Audi didn’t have it locked down. The car is all wheel drive, has recaro race seats (front and back), an awsome Bose stereo (with XM that the previous owner is still paying for), all kinds of gadgets in the mirrors (yeah, fold in for tight spaces, down for backing, defrost, etc), and can easily haul an infant around.
