Kitchen Tile
Kathy and I put our new tile down this weekend. Yes, we have a lot of tile in our house. I’ll have more pics soon with the cabinets reinstalled, new sink, and hopefully new counter tops also. Olivia snuck into the video also.

We are wayyyyy overdue for some posts, so I’m making time now since Jon posted some videos.
Olivia is turning into a toddler, fast. The week of christmas she started walking without help, now she prefers walking over crawling.
She recently discovered her eyelashes and will violently pull on them or walk up to you and pull on yours. She loves to throw the cats kisses and will give us some as well.
After months of trying and practicing she finally can push the home buttom on our iPhones to make the screen come up, she loves it every time (probably because she can see her own picture).
She can also blow her nose when its runny or not. You can give her a tissue and she attempts do clean it herself or just tell her to blow while you hold the tissue for her.
She can give high five.
She can stack shaped blocks (puzzle).
You can tell her “brush brush” and she’ll brush her teeth with her mini toothbrush.
She will talk on the phone, even when no one is on the other end.
She’ll share her food with you, sometimes right out of her mouth. As of now, she is like a garbage disposal and eat whatever you put in front of her.
Here are some of the words she can say (except for shoes and socks, she knows what the words mean)
- Mama & Daddy
- PaPaw
- Hi and Bye
- Shoes and socks
- Head, Nose & Belly button
- Juice
- Cheese
- Eat, more, & bite
- Night night
- Elmo (she says Elbo)
- Baby
- Abby our cat
- Kitty
- Bottle
- Bath
- Tissue
- Ball
- Up (on the couch, out of her chair or hold me) & down
- Pat
She already had her hand in toilet water and finally she is repeating “NO”…let the fun begin.
Olivia likes baths, and this time managed to get the lid off of her shampoo.
I decided to upload some videos to youtube (instead of vimeo like we normally use). The quality isn’t as good, but its a much simpler and quicker process.
Dad and I picked this up last week to assist in the many projects that we want to tackle. These are pics right after it was delivered, and it looks 100x better now after dad put some elbow grease into it. Once we get it all cleaned up I’ll put up some new pics of it.
For those of you that care… here are the features:
4wd
4 in 1 (clam) bucket
9000+ lbs of lift on front bucket
25mph forward/31mph reverse
Heat & AC
So, I finally managed to make some time for a post (Olivia is napping and Jon went riding)!
Last Sunday we had Olivia’s Birthday Party, we only invited family since she wont remember any of this!
Oncle Jeff and soon to be aunt Ashley came for a visit from LA and Olivia (and Mommy) enjoyed the entertainment. Thanks to everyone for coming, this was a great day for all of us!
Here are some pics for everyone to enjoy.
P.s: If anyone has more pics please email them to us…..I don’t have any of Olivia eating a cupcake!
We’ve had to rename the cat because that is what Olivia likes to call her. Abby is too difficult I guess, so Olivia calls her Adee. I’m very pleased with her progress lately and I really can’t wait until she finally tries to take a step. Daycare said that Olivia is the fastest crawler they’ve had… she’s also probably the baby that has crawled and not walked for the longest period as well.
Took me long enough to post some videos of our beach vacation!
Olivia woke up this morning, happy like always. Kathy brought her into the bathroom to say hi to me as I was getting ready. Stan was on the counter keeping me company as he normally does. Its funny because she did this same thing yesterday, almost. She pointed to Stan yesterday and said “kiki”. Today, she pointed and said “kitty”. It was great. That is her first real word. She’ll look at me or Kathy and say “mama” or “dada”, but she’ll also say “baba” sometimes. This time she pointed and identified what she was pointing at. My kid is so smart.
Olivia started pointing at stuff and saying “uh” the other day… out of the blue. She points at the cats, the light switch, just about anything she normally can’t get to. Yesterday she started standing out in the open with no support. She did it a couple of times and seems to be getting good balance. Any day now she’ll take a step. I’ll try to get a video of her standing up soon.
